Have you ever wished you had someone specializing in Social Work working at your library? Kalamazoo Public Library does! Join us for this virtual event as we talk with Jennifer Purrenhage, the Social Work Intern at KPL, about what she does to help out patrons and community members in Kalamazoo. 

About Jennifer Purrenhage

Jennifer is a second-year MSW student at Western Michigan University (WMU) in Kalamazoo studying policy, planning, and administration (PPA) and plans to have a career in the macro field of social work. She is the current intern at the Kalamazoo Public Library, a full-time graduate assistant for the School of Social Work, and the Student Ambassador for NASW-MI representing WMU. She is also a member of several committees including the PPA Student Leadership Council, the College of Health and Human Services Student Leadership Council, and the Library Social Work Interns Support Group which includes members from libraries across the country. She plans to graduate in April 2025.
