TLN and library members participated this year in a Workplace Perceptions Survey. The purpose of the survey was to identify areas of concern that library and TLN employees may have about their workplace. The survey was anonymous and the information
received in the survey will help us to create programming and services in the future to address identified areas of concern.
Almost 900 employees, in total, took the survey to provide insight on their workplace perceptions and how they feel about the workplace environment. With almost a 50% response rate, a valid survey sample was achieved. Approximately 2/3 of respondents
held non-administrative positions, and 1/3 identified as administrators or management.
This ongoing project was proposed by TLN Member Communities, was approved by member groups and the TLN Board, and is funded by The Library Network.
Now that the survey has been completed a final report will be distributed and follow up work will be done to address concerns that have been identified.
