We are very pleased to announce that Austin Smith and Cole Bratten have been selected to fill two Systems Administrator positions for The Library Network. TLN Technology Department Director, Damon Dye, noted that Austin and Cole will be great additions to the team, which provides technology support for TLN member libraries and the TLN office. The hire of Austin and Cole brings the team back to full capacity after recent reconfigurations.
Austin and Cole are scheduled to have their first day at TLN on Monday, January 23, 2023. Welcome, Austin and Cole!
Austin Smith
From Austin: "My passion for electronics and technology has led me into a lifelong career in IT. I use a combination of my IT background, hard working ethics, and positive attitude to overcome any challenges I am confronted with. After achieving a sense of a job well done you can find me hanging out with friends or searching for retro video games to add to my collection. I am very excited to join The Library Network team!"
Cole Bratten
From Cole: "My name is Cole Bratten and I am looking forward to my new opportunity with TLN! I have lived my whole life in Roseville, MI and I worked my first library job at my home library after a few years of working retail at Ace Hardware. I am a big sports fan and I originally wanted to go into a career of sports media but after being the go-to computer guy at Ace, I decided to switch my education over to IT. I was blessed to get the job as the IT tech at the Auburn Hills Public Library and to meet so many wonderful people in the TLN network. When the opportunity to work with Damon and the excellent TLN tech team came up, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I bring over my excellent communication and customer service skills and my experience at AHPL will help me serve our great network of libraries."
