Belz Hired as TLN Librarian I - Cataloging

We are very pleased to announce that Sandy Belz has been selected to join The Library Network filling the Librarian I - Cataloging role. She joins our cataloging department after having prior experience as a Cataloging Intern with TLN. 

Here's some additional information from Sandy:

I recently graduated in December 2023 with an MLIS from the School of information Sciences at Wayne State University. I've had training and hands-on practical experience cataloging at TLN during my practicum. I did digital collections and metadata volunteer work at Chelsea District Library and Wayne State University along with digitization at the Library of Michigan.
I also was a graduate research assistant at Wayne State University. I'm making a career change from behavioral health and I am really excited to be working at TLN!!!

Personal info:
I've lived in Michigan most of my life.
I really enjoy outdoors Michigan, especially hiking, cycling, and mountain biking.
Other hobbies/interests include art and renovating old houses.
My husband and I have four rescue pets: 2 German Shepherds and 2 cats.
